My name is Katherine Balboa, and I am the Curriculum Specialist and Dean of Students for St. Michael the Archangel school. I have worked in St. Michael’s for 8 years in total with a break of 13 years in between wherein I worked in other capacities within the education field.  Overall, I have worked in education for over 20 years in the following capacities:  curriculum design, teaching, test design, proctoring, scoring for the college board, and as a reading coach. I have two master's degrees: one in Educational Leadership and one in Reading. I am FL certified in Educational Leadership, Exceptional Student Education, ESOL, Elem Ed, English, Reading, and World Languages.  I am also certified as an instructional coach.  

I am incredibly happy to be part of the administrative team of St. Michael’s school. I strive to make sure every one of our students lives up to their utmost potential and I look forward to helping our SMA students reach their educational and personal goals. Each child has unique talents that they bring to our community. I believe that one should never stop learning and that everyone has valuable gifts to offer to this world. I work hard everyday to give the school my 100 percent and am thankful that God has brought me to serve at this school.
