Counselor

Susan Davila

With 38 years of dedicated service in Catholic education, including 23 years at St. Michael Catholic School, I bring a wealth of experience and passion to my role as a school counselor. My career began as a teacher, where I taught both elementary and middle school before transitioning to school counseling.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling, both from St. Thomas University. Additionally, I am a registered mental health counselor intern in the state of Florida.

For the past 15 years, I have volunteered with the Florida Foster Care Review, reflecting my commitment to the well-being of children. My passion lies in seeing children learn and grow, and I am continuously seeking new ways to support our students. As a fervent Catholic and lifelong learner, I believe in the importance of living a happy, peaceful, and faithful life.

I am dedicated to helping all our students realize their potential and achieve success in whatever they choose to pursue. My mission aligns closely with our school's mission statement: Love Christ and the Catholic Church. Always continue to learn and serve, no matter what age we are. I believe in the importance of growing both in knowledge and spirituality, and I strive to encourage and positively impact others.

Every effort, no matter how small, can make a difference. I urge our students and community to stay hopeful and work towards making a positive change in the world through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. With Him, nothing is impossible. I am here to assist in any way I can and to help our students thrive.
