My experience as an educator began 42 years ago as an elementary teacher at Loyola School. After several years, I was promoted to Assistant Principal while continuing to teach. Due to my love of the Catholic education system, I began working at St. Agatha School (1994-1996), where I was the first lay teacher. I began teaching the first grade, and three years later I was appointed Assistant Principal. During 1996, I transferred to St. Brendan Elementary School where I served as Assistant Principal (1996-2004). My educational background consists of a Bachelors of Arts from St. Thomas University. I hold Professional Teacher’s Certificates in Elementary Education and Spanish. Currently, I have completed my Master Degree in Ms- Leadership in Educational Administration Specialization.
I believe in promoting Catholic and bilingual education as an integral part of the moral value of our children.
My philosophy is to have a candid relationship between the children, parents, and teachers, always having my door open to all who need my advice and guidance.
May the Lord bless you always,
Carmen J. Alfonso
